Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., a national leader as a securities broker/dealer, has an opening in Operations for a full time Trading Assistant.
The Trading Assistant assists with the daily activities of the Brokerage Trading department, including interfacing with traders and Registered Representatives in the field.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Accurately post information to various spreadsheets to meet daily, weekly and monthly regulatory requirements for recordkeeping and retention.
Accurately process options letter and options supplements in a timely manner.
Submit mutual fund conversion requests to appropriate clearing firm for processing.
Keep track of clearing firm trade counts on a daily basis
Professional and courteous problem solving and trouble-shooting of inbound phone, voice mail, e-mail and occasionally in-person inquiries from the company's existing registered representatives, new representatives and staff.
Download daily clearing firm reports to appropriate locations for Operations use
Assist with securing missing information from field associates.
Other duties as assigned.
This position requires High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Typing skills in the 40 wpm range.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
