Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., a national leader as a securities broker/dealer, has an opening in Corporate for a full time Administrative Assistant. This position will assist the Board as well as members of the Executive Committee in all capacities, as needed. Responsibilities include:

Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, conferences, phone calls, travel, visitor agendas, and events for the department and/or company
Update information in departmental database software and/or spreadsheets as appropriate
Answer and problem-solve incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail and occasionally in-person requests professionally and courteously for leadership when unavailable
Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc for leadership
Obtain familiarity with and keep informed on details of key industry topics and industry developments
Assist Compliance management, and other Compliance teams as necessary, with gathering and organizing documentation responsive to regulatory or legal inquiries
Thorough knowledge of administrative compliance functions as assigned.
Ensure that all branch office have proper signage.
Professional and courteous problem-solving and trouble-shooting of incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail and occasional in-person requests for assistance from the Firm's existing registered representatives, new representatives, recruits, staff and various sponsor companies regarding compliance issues
This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Typing 40 -50 wpm.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
