Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., a national leader as a securities broker/dealer, has an opening in for a full time Operations Specialist. The Specialist works under the direction of Operations Management and processes various aspects of the Operations function. This can include but is not limited to administration of National Financial Services, Pershing, Transfers, and Transitions.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide training for rep-advisors on procedures and processes related to the Operations departmental functions
Process paperwork in departmental queue(s) including but not limited to new accounts, account transfers, account closures, address changes, IRA distributions, wire requests, incoming checks, stock certificates, and insufficient funds notices; and update information in departmental database software accordingly
Provide customer service related to Operations and supply information as needed at request of management, company associates, and rep-advisors
Communicate internal policies and procedures, as well as external clearing firm policies and procedures to rep-advisors and employees, and inform management of potential violations
Develop and implement new and improved procedures to streamline service processes
Education/
Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
?Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
